SILENCED SOULS IN THE SAHEL

In the arid echoes of Northern Nigeria’s land,
Harsh norms cast shadows on diversity’s stand.
LGBTIQ voices silenced in the workforce’s fold, A poem of resilience, a tale untold.

Beneath the Sahelian sun, dreams constrained, Silenced souls yearning to break free, unrestrained.
COFAA whispers against discrimination’s sway, A symphony of hope in the face of dismay.

West Africa’s heart echoes with the plea,
For equality, justice, and dignity to decree.
In the Sahel, where silence prevails,
COFAA stands, breaking oppressive trails.

Through the dunes of prejudice, we tread,
With intellect and courage, our voices widespread.
In the mosaic of cultures, let acceptance bloom, Silenced souls, rise, dispel the gloom.

COFAA, a beacon in the desert’s expanse,
Advocates for rights, taking a stance.
Silent no more, let the verses unfold,
Empowered voices in the arid, stories retold.
